My Story Continued

… Finally, in 2015, I discovered several key concepts that resulted in a continued sense of joy, beauty, and fulfillment in my life. To this day, I use these concepts to fuel my own happiness. Now, well into my forties, I am stepping up my game with a goal to bring this approach to the masses.

The seed for my big, hairy, audacious goal was planted years ago, in desperation as I navigated painful relationship failures and epic custody battles. I found myself in a deep, dark depression that seemed inescapable. My body reacted accordingly, with intense panic attacks, cystic acne on my face, and chronic urinary tract infections that a top urologist had no explanation for. I was stuck, and I needed answers.

Through lots of trial and error, the day did come when my depression lifted, and the panic attacks stopped. My face cleared up, and I could not tell you the last time I had a UTI. From that day forward, I have dedicated my practice to helping others discover the keys to their own happiness and joy.

But the scientist in me got curious. What makes this approach to happiness any different? What is working for me now that always seemed to fail in the past? I read the right books, I was “thinking positive” each day. So why is what I am doing now actually working, whereas in the past I couldn’t get out of my own way?

And this is where Hopscotch to Happiness was born. During a day of blissful coincidences, I was suddenly struck by the idea that there is no straight line to happiness and balance in one’s life. The “formula” is not a formula. What works for some people doesn’t for others – and that’s okay. Now intuitively, I guess I knew this. But I doggedly searched for a recipe, a formula that I could follow that would give me the results I was after. And that’s when I began writing Hopscotch to Happiness.

In my private practice, I started using my approach with clients, and began getting amazing results. It was as if a veil had been lifted for my clients, and they beamed with happiness and confidence as they told me their stories of success in different areas of their lives.   Now, we know the power behind lots of positive people coming together in a group. What if people could come together, and explain what was working for them, inspiring joy and happiness in their lives? This can be done seamlessly in a community forum via the Internet – The Hopscotch Community! Each month, Hopscotchers gather, share successes, and support each other in a friendly, open environment, via an online platform. No judgment, no negativity, and no parking needed!
