A Huge Milestone Was Getting Off Medications!
“I have dealt with anxiety a lot in my life. When I started working with Nicole, my anxiety was at an all time high. Nicole was very easy to talk to and I instantly felt comfortable with her. I could tell from the beginning Nicole was passionate about her work and desire to help. I never felt any judgement and felt like I could tell Nicole anything, as if speaking to a trusted friend. She gave me several different techniques to incorporate inside and outside of my sessions. One example was a breathing exercise, another was making a list of things I am grateful for in my life. It felt very beneficial using physical and mental strategies, as my anxiety manifested in physical form as well as mental and emotional. A huge milestone for me working with Nicole was to get off my anxiety medications, as I no longer felt the need for them. I wanted to stop relying on medications, and it was totally my choice to stop, but I couldn’t have done it without Nicole’s help. To this day, I am still medication free and continue to use Nicole’s techniques when I need them. Today, I can say my anxiety is the lowest and most manageable that I can remember. I feel Nicole’s approach is different from other therapists that I have worked with in the past because she doesn’t just listen and look at you, take notes, and give homework. She actually engages you and proves without a doubt that she cares and is invested in your well-being. She is also knowledgeable and well versed in what may be considered non-traditional or alternative techniques, strategies, and methodologies, and other natural/holistic approaches.
